Quyen (“Molly”) V. Thai

Molly Thai is an associate attorney at Sweeney Mason LLP on the civil litigation team. 

 Molly has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts throughout California. Her experience includes all phases of litigation, mediation and negotiation.  Prior to joining Sweeney Mason LLP, Molly worked at the California Attorney General’s Office, where she litigated complex and novel constitutional issues on behalf of the third largest law enforcement agency in the United States.  She also worked as a prosecutor at the Monterey County, where she tried numerous criminal jury trials. 

 Molly earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis, and was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.  During law school, Molly served as the Professional Development Chair at the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, where she advocated for the legal career advancement of minority students.  She also participated in various Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions, and served as an editor on the International Law Review Journal.  Prior to law school, Molly graduated from U.C. Davis with degrees in Literature and Sociology. 

 Molly lives in San Jose, and enjoys hiking, snowboarding and traveling.
