David Lee is a partner with Sweeney Mason LLP. His practice is focused primarily on estate planning, trust, and probate matters. He assists the firm’s clients with the preparation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney for health and finance, as well as trust and probate administrations, incapacity planning and general probate litigation. David is a certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and was named a Rising Star in Northern California by Super Lawyers in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. 

David received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2010 after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics. During his time at Santa Clara University, David served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. William J. Monahan of the California Superior Court and was named a Research Fellow for the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute of Public Policy. He also clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office and served as Technical Editor of the Santa Clara Journal of International Law.

David is a member of the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council, the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, and active in local bar associations and Bay Area service organizations. Prior to joining Sweeney Mason LLP in 2012, David was an associate attorney for a general practice law firm in Beverly Hills.

David enjoys Santa Clara University athletics and competing in running events throughout California.
