Kurt Wilson is a founding member of the firm. He is a Cal Berkeley graduate, and has specialized in commercial and employment litigation since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Hastings College of the Law in 1985. Kurt represents corporations and individuals in commercial, employment, defamation, harassment, real estate, trade secret disputes and will/trust disputes, including through jury trial, court trial, binding arbitration and/or mediation/settlement. Kurt has achieved very impressive results for our clients at trial, binding arbitration and mediation.  

Kurt’s practice focuses on efficiently and successfully (1) defending corporations and individuals against contract, fraud, defamation, real estate, trade secret, employment, and trust claims and (2) prosecuting, on behalf of corporations and individuals, contract, fraud, real estate, defamation, and employment claims. 

Kurt lives in Los Gatos with his wife, and is a masters swimmer.

1. A $3.6M fraud judgement against an SLO attorney/real estate developer John Belsher and his partner and LLCs.  

2. A defense verdict for San Jose State University Research Foundation after a 3 week jury trial in a $12M wrongful termination case.

3. A Federal Court decision denying class certification in a wage and hour class action against Bill Hamilton Roofing, Inc.

4. A decision after a 10 day court trial against Remington, LLC on behalf of Teanwrkx Construction, Inc. for all claimed damages ($250K) and all attorneys’ fees.  

5. A defense judgement after a 3 week jury trial on behalf of South Bay Construction in a $10M theft of trade secret case.

6. An anti-SLAPP appellate victory against Summit Bank in a libel case, memorialized in the seminal appellate opinion Summit Bank v Rogers, granting our client’s anti-SLAPP motion and dismissing the lawsuit against him.  

7. A binding arbitration decision in favor of our client in a $15M commercial and fraud dispute, finding in favor of our client on all claims and against the opposing party on all claims.  

8. Multiple settlements over the past 20 years after the plaintiff’s deposition for $0 (ie the plaintiff dismisses her case for no money) in multiple different, unrelated cases against multiple clients sued for sexual harassment or sexual assault.

9. Multiple settlements after the representative plaintiff’s deposition on behalf of employer clients of wage and hour class action cases for $0.

10. Multiple settlements for $0 after the plaintiff’s deposition in multiple wrongful termination cases.

11. Multiple appellate victories upholding successful judgements after trial.
