Caitlin has over 15 years of experience in numerous California Superior Courts, the Sixth District Court of Appeals, and before the California Labor Commissioner, the Fair Employment and Housing Commission, and the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. She also has petitioned and briefed before the California Supreme Court.

Growing up in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, Caitlin graduated from Presentation High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Washington with a major in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. She attended Santa Clara University School of Law on a full-tuition scholarship as a Dean’s Fellow, the school’s highest honor for incoming students. There, she participated in Honors Moot Court and Law Review and obtained her High-Tech Law Certificate.

Caitlin started her legal career at Sweeney Mason, first as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney. Caitlin then opened and operated her own law practice for over ten (10) years while raising two children. She next became a Partner at Medina McKelvey LLP, a full-service employment law firm, defending multi-million-dollar class action lawsuits for businesses of all sizes throughout California. Caitlin also skillfully launched and managed Medina McKelvey’s Advice and Counsel Practice Group, advising clients on all aspects of employment law, including harassment, wrongful termination, employee handbooks, and wage and hour law. Caitlin and her husband Bill (a partner at Sweeney Mason) reside in Campbell with their two children. They are active members of St. Christopher School and Parish in San Jose and at Archbishop Mitty High School. She supports and participates in service projects within her children’s schools and the community.
